Purchase a home site in Wolf Laurel Resort. |

Familiarize yourself with the Wolf Laurel Declaration of Protective Covenants, Restrictions & Reservations. A hardcopy is available from the Wolf Laurel Road Maintenance & Security Office. |

Prepare a Site Plan of your proposed home site. |

ü |
Stake out your home site to match your proposed Site Survey. |

ü |
Make an appointment and prepare for a Conceptual Consultation and Review. If you have already selected an architect or designer, bring him/her along as well. This step is optional, but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. |

Along with your architect or designer, develop a home plan that will meet the requirements of these Architectural Guidelines and any recommendations from the Conceptual Consultation and Review. Assemble all of the information for the ARB Building Application submittal. |

The ARB will schedule a Final Plan Review of your application, normally within 2 weeks after receipt of an acceptable application. The ARB will review all submitted materials, visit your site to examine the stake out, and either approve your application or recommend needed changes. |

If necessary, modify your plans to incorporate any ARB recommendations, then re-submit them as necessary to obtain final approval to begin construction. |

Obtain a building permit from Yancey or Madison County. |

ü |
Ensure that your general contractor is familiar with the Construction Guidelines, and is willing and able to fully comply with them. |

Monitor the actual construction to ensure that it remains compliant with these Architectural Guidelines. |
